Where does The Funding Engine get its information?
We source sponsorship information from the public domain (clippings, program guides or website information). These include contact details, website addresses, and service and product descriptions Confidential information (e.g. sponsorship spends) are listed with permission.
Is your information up to date?
We update daily and build on three years worth of sponsorship data.
Can you organise sponsorships for us, fund us or phone sponsors for us?
We are an information service only. For individual sponsorship agents or co-ordinators, we recommend a local internet search.
How do you differ from other sponsorship services?
• We cover all large and small sponsorships, and various areas of our data from multiple viewpoints.
• We provide comprehensive Reports on sponsors, events and industries.
• We provide more information than grants.
• We provide the tools to pinpoint your potential partners from tens of thousands of options.
Can you recommend a good sponsorship agent to me?
Not as yet.
I am a business that offers sponsorships. How do I get involved?
Advertising and see how we can partner successfully.
We’re from a regional Australia. Is your Sydney-based service useful for us?
Yes! We have collated a large percentage of our partnership agreements from regional areas (Port Macquarie, Shepparton and Kunanurra to name a few). This is to see which major sponsors are marketing to regional areas, and to offer a truly Australia-wide service. Other than that, the Reports are valid for both metropolitan and regional organisation alike .
We’re a small communications agency. Is TFE catering for us as much as larger agencies?
Yes! we recommend that SMEs working with limited staff and time, make use of our Reports to supplement for a larger research team at our affordable prices.
Our network and contacts are well established. How would we use your service?
When you need new sponsors (others leave, or price themselves too high) or you are branching into new markets or offering new products or services, or competitors to present sponsors would work better with particular events. In these and other cases, you need to make inroads. That is where TFE steps in.
The Funding Engine is a small investment for wider returns.
We have confidential marketing information like demographics or funding amounts. Why reveal this to TFE?
There are many good reasons why revealing spend levels and demographics (to name two) helps your organisation. If exact amounts are confidential, we instead ask for the average amounts that you spend per year on all events. This allows seekers to filter sponsors from outside of their price range. Then they can match their industry and spend amounts as potential partners. Spend amounts help us provide better marketing tools for your business.
Do consultations that go longer than 20 minutes cost more?
No, not within a reasonable timeframe.
What is in a consultation?
We ask about your type of event, your target markets (geographical and commercial) and who you want and you don’t want. A few simple questions creates your Report. Two weeks after emailing the PDF, we touch base to see how our sponsorship campaign went. Any extras may be provided free or for a small fee.
What can I do once I have our Report?
Search through the twenty sponsors provided, ring the key contacts, and start your sponsorship campaign straight away. We will be uploading Case Studies to our site, following their path to partnerships.
How do you help non-profits or individuals without the cash, but with great ideas?
Sure! We have a pro-bono and Communities program designed for just that.
